Rent Midsomer Murders: Series 4: Tainted Fruit (2001)

Feelings are running high in Midsomer Malham. Many in the village blame spoilt brat Melissa Townsend for the death of her elderly tenant, Neil Laxton. The landlady has been receiving threatening letters, so Barnaby and Troy are on the case. But when Melissa is found dead -injected with a lethal mixture of chemicals -the detectives realise they are on the hunt for a ruthless killer. There are certainly plenty of suspects to choose from. Joan Farley, one of Neil's relatives, was outspoken in her hatred of the landlady, while district nurse Sally had recently had a falling out with Melissa. But are either capable of murder?
