- In his directorial debut, Buddhist Iama Neten Chokling vividly presents the captivating story of Milarepa, the man who would become Tibet's greatest yogi. In the dramatic setting of the 11th century Tibet – a time of roaming sourcerers and yogis, according to Buddhist legend – a youthful Milarepa is propelled into a word of sorrow and betrayal after his father's sudden death. MILAREPA - Milarepa review by CP Customer
This is a beautiful, well made film, with authentic Tibetan actors and scenarios.The nature is exquisite. It is half the story , the negative side, of the Great Tibetan Sage when he gains magic powers to initiate revenge against his mother's enemies. it is spectacular and packed with wisdom. But it is necessay to see Disc 2, which shows his Englightenment positive stage. I urge Cimema Paradiso to obtain this sequel please!
