Synopsis:
Melanie Griffith and Ed Harris make a perfect match in this delightful romantic comedy that's rich with laughs and love. Twelve-year-old Frank Wheeler (Michael Patrick Carter) and his two best buddies are determined to solve life's biggest mystery - women! So they pool their piggy-bank money and head for the big city. Their plan: to peek at a naked lady. The kids hit the jackpot when they meet V (Melanie Griffith), a gorgeous, warmhearted "working girl". But when Frank looks at V, he sees more than just a beautiful body. He sees the perfect wife for his shy single dad (Ed Harris)! Bringing them together won't be easy, especially with a ruthless mobster (Malcolm McDowell) chasing V.
But as Frank soon discovers, love has a magic all its own.

Surprisingly good - Milk Money review by Swambi

Spoiler Alert

This film ultimately produces a quite a subtle and romantic comedy with complex interactions across the generations, and between different types of people, and provides some beautiful filming, working from the basis of what could have been a crude and unbelievable plot. There are some problems with the plot, but the acting and direction were adequate to largely suspend disbelief, and allow amusement from the misunderstandings. Frank and V act particularly well. Probably best enjoyed by adults who like a film with romance and children in it.
