- Missing is a British television crime drama made for the BBC. Set in a busy Missing Persons Unit the series follows the exploits of DS Mary Jane Croft, played by Pauline Quirke, as she attempts to manage her team and solve numerous missing persons cases despite being under-paid, under-funded, under-staffed and constantly busy.
