"Mlijecni Put" offers a typical post-war story seasoned with a bit of romance and a lot of humor. The universal, even today still very relevant theme of emigration in search of a better life, at the time of its premiere managed to attract the audience from the region largely thanks to the excellent cast. The main characters are two young married couples from Sarajevo, without hope for a better future in their city. They try their best to immigrate to New Zealand, but they don't have much success.
With the help of a mutual friend, a local strongman and a total football fanatic, they find a solution, which is to switch partners and remarry in order to fulfill the rigorous conditions of moving to the land of sheep and a better life.
