Synopsis:
Follow the powerful story of the various planes used by the US and its allies during the 1991 Gulf War and discover how effective they were in their specialised roles. The Pan Avia Tornado GR-1 was assigned some of the most dangerous missions of the war, attacking heavily defended airfields in Iraq and occupied Kuwair, flying at audaciously low levels and high speed in a sky full of flak and suffering serious losses in so doing. Manned by a crew of two, the A-6 Intruder was used by the Navy and operated from aircraft carriers. It was an effective close air support plane with the capability of flying in all weathers and at any time of day or night, dropping laser guided missiles with great precision. Feel the excitement and sense the adrenalin as you listen to the crew and watch from the backseat the actual camera views during bombing runs and air-to-air engagements. There is no commentary in this section: the footage and sound speak for themselves.
