- Synopsis:
Gaurav Kapoor (Sanjay Kapoor), is the son of industrialist Madanlal Kapoor (Saeed Jaffery) and Geeta Kapoor (Farida Jalal). He has a younger sister Roshni (Dimple Ghosh). One day Gaurav meets Shweta Sharma (Madhuri Dixit), a beautiful, bubbly teenager who is his sister's best friend and falls in love with her at first sight. As days pass by the love grows and so grows the longing for her. He thinks about her whenever he is alone. He learns that she want to be a singer and he instructs famous music teacher (Bob Bramhabhatt) to teach her, he promots her career, he sends her beautyful yellow flowers on every occassion but never comes in the open. Shweta waits for her flower-man to come, so that she could see him and thank him for everything he had done for her. Gaurav is lost in his world of love for Shweta. Shweta does not have parents but a loving brother (Farooq Shaikh). One day Gaurav is attacked by group of street fighters (Shiva). But Rohit Malhotra (Akshaye Khanna) saved him. Rohit comes from a very poor family. He had only his widow mother (Sulbha Arya) waiting for the day when her son would get job. A bond of friendship springs up between the two and with time passing by grow more stronger. Dr. Goel (Tej Sapru), a very good friend of Madanlal brings the marriage proposal for Roshni of his another friend's son Dr. Viren (Ashwin Kaushal) and they get married. One day Shweta meets Rohit and he falls in love with her. Shweta's heart also misses when she meets Rohit and both fall in love with each other. One day comes when both friends learn about the cruel twist of destiny that they are fall in love with the same girl. Both want to sacrifice their love. Who does sacrifice? What is a fate of these two friends who are now rivals in love? Who finally gets Shweta? - Actors:
