Unfortunately Paul and Archies partnership isn't working but they decide to try again after a crisis finding Glenbogle a Head Ranger. Molly is now angry with Andrew as he is shunning her after spending a weekend away Golly decides he must reveal his true feelings to Molly or face a lonely life by himself. Dorothy, Kilwillie and Lexie continue to fight over income for Glenbogle. Paul becomes involved with Amanda MacLeish and joins the board of the Lagganmore distillery. Lexie's father unexpectedly appears and becomes chauffeur for Dorothy, while Golly opposes the romance that is blossoming between his daughter Jess and Duncan.
Lexie learns something about Amanda and feels she must tell Paul who takes it badly and tells her to stay out of his business.
