Set in the 'Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre in Dorset, UK'. 'Monkey Life: Series 3' is an emotional roller-coaster following the rescue and rehabilitation of some of the most abused and neglected monkeys in the world. Since the founding of Monkey World by the late Jim Cronin, MBE and Animal Director Jeremy Keeling in 1987, Monkey World has rescued primates from many countries worldwide. Dr. Alison Cronin, MBE and her team continue Jim's legacy with unwavering dedication to stop the illegal smuggling of primates from the wild, and help to rescue and re-home primates in need, whenever they can. Primates found abused in laboratories, circus tents or as photographers' props, are rehabilitated at Monkey World, and given the chance to spend the rest of their days being cared for in as natural an environment as possible, with friends of their own kind. Filmed over the course of a year, this heart-warming animal docu-soap follows the day-to-day dramas and personalities of these, our closest relatives. From medical emergencies to friendship bonds, house-swaps to wife-swaps and new arrivals to the park, 'Monkey Life' follows the lives of over 240 primates in this wooded haven, and the team who are devoted to working with them.
