Set in the Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre in Dorset, UK, 'Monkey Life: Series 7' is an emotional roller-coaster following the rescue and rehabilitation of some of the most abused and neglected monkeys in the world. Since the founding of Monkey World by the late Jim Cronin, MBE in 1987, Monkey World has rescued primates from 20 countries worldwide. Dr. Alison Cronin, MBE and her team continue Jim's legacy with unwavering dedication to stop the illegal smuggling of primates from the wild, rescuing and re-homing primates in need, whenever they can. In 'Monkey Life: Series 7', Alison Cronin and Jeremy Keeling welcome Jethro, their first ever saki monkey to the park, but he has his hands full with thieving squirrel monkeys! Orang-utan Hsiao-quai takes her adopted daughter Awan outside for the first time. There's great excitement when woolly monkey Enzo gets a baby sister from mum Yarima. Capuchin leader Gorilon goes under the knife after a nasty scuffle. Hananya's chimpanzees try their luck at termite fishing. In Vietnam Alison and the team release three pygmy lorises back into the wild and there's a rare sighting of an elusive family of douc langurs. It's an anxious time back at Monkey World as woolly monkey leader Bueno's health deteriorates and rescued marmoset James is fighting for his life in the park's hospital. It's a sad day for the staff when orang-utan Hsiao-ning says goodbye as she moves to her new home at Rostock Zoo, Germany. Siamang gibbon Sam is in danger of losing his sweetheart Sasak, who is struck by a mysterious illness; and woolly monkey Sara gives birth after a dramatic emergency C-section which leaves Alison providing round the clock care. - Actors:
