- Synopsis:
All five episodes from the 11th series of the BBC drama created by Jimmy McGovern. Each episode tells a self-contained contemporary story in which the characters have reached a turning point in their lives and are trying to move on.
1. Time Out
Joe is released from prison for a crime he says he didn't commit and fitted with an electronic tag. He withholds his past from his new girlfriend and neglects to tell her about his curfew.
2. Second Sight
A woman who has been blind for 20 years has her sight successfully restored. But she struggles with her new world and there are unforeseen consequences for her and her family.3. Man of Steel
A former rugby league legend, and now a local hero, is blackmailed by his ex who threatens to expose a secret that he's been hiding all his life.
4. Redundant
A middle-aged woman is forced to fight for her job and is pitted against a vulnerable younger woman. In trying to prove her role is vital, she reaches a surprising conclusion.
5. Home
A bereaved mother forms an attachment to a young homeless man. He reminds her of her son who died suddenly nine months before.- Actors:
