- Mrs. Parker thinks back to New York in 1920. As a writer, she was head of the elite group of the moment: the Algonquin Round Table.
In the elegant Algonquin Hotel group talked every day for lunch together. Everyone wanted to be part of the group, but only the best of the best writers were allowed to sit the round table.
