- Murder Most Horrid is a British comedy anthology series starring comedian Dawn French (The Vicar of Dibley). The series follows French as she plays a different character in each episode who gets tangled up in a murder mystery or conspiracy and must disentangle herself from the mess. The series satirises crime shows and conspiracy thrillers as French continuously makes a fool out of the convenient plotting of British and American crimes dramas. The series finds comedy through its unique storytelling approach and its cynical view of the crime genre in Britain.
