- Starring James Nesbitt (Cold Feet, The Way), Murphy’s Law is a British crime drama about undercover police officer Tommy Murphy and the many crimes he investigates. The series looks at tragic hero Tommy, a man who has already lost his daughter to a terrorist in Northern Ireland. Tommy’s guilt that he couldn’t save her drives him to take on these dangerous jobs as he feels he has nothing left to lose but as the series shows us, that isn’t true
