- Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse is a Japanese action drama animated TV series set in a world where a 1973 alien invasion, better known as BETA, nearly drove all humans to extinction. However, with UN, Imperial Japan and USA’s joint forces, mankind produced the final line of defense in the form of Tactical Surface Fighters, which hopefully will bring an end to the possible collapse of human civilization.
