Yes it lives up to its title. It is very crude, very lewd and full of total gutter language. it is NOT, however, funny. Really funny movies do not need to rely upon such content. I had to switch off before the end as it was embarrasingly awful.
Haven't seen such a silly movie for a long time. Total waste of time as far as I am concerned. Boy meets girl, boy pretends he is an imbecile, girl finaly realises he realy is an imbecile (the movie should finish there really :)... then boy changes his mind and wants the girl to think that he is nice. Girl finaly believes that he is nice. Well there are some other bits and pieces but this is in a nut shell. Hey, deep!
My Best Friend’s Girl is an easy target for criticism. This edition promises to extend the experience, with added rudeness, which is becoming a common trend for DVD titles. The opening period certainly instigates a high level of vulgarity that will alienate many viewers, but lets face it, this film it aimed at the teens or young adults who enjoy such releases. The story for what its worth soon appears and is a new twist of the Wedding Crashers buddy approach. If the rudeness were a little more toned down you’d actually have a decent premise for a good comedy. Instead the film does become saturated in language and mannerisms that wash away the promising prospectus.
