- "Mysterious Creatures" is a compelling new drama about a family torn apart by Asperger's Syndrome. In November 2004 Bill and Wendy Ainscow took an overdose of sleeping pills and waded into the warm Atlantic Ocean off Tenerife to commit suicide. Wendy survived but tragically Bill died. The couple's bizarre suicide pact was the culmination of years of trying to cope with and get state help for their daughter Lisa who sufers with Aspergers Syndrome. This complex and moving true story of love, loss and reconciliation is brought to life by two of the UK's leading acting talents; Brenda Blethyn as Wendy and Timothy Spall as Bill and introducing Rebekah Staton as Lisa.
