- This is the incredible true story of Danny, on abandoned baby rescued by the crew of a U.S. aircraft carrier at the end of the Korean War. When red-tape threatens Danny's hope of a brighter future in the States, only the crew's loving efforts can save his life. But one man can make all the difference: surgeon Hugh Keenan, a career soldier still hiding his grief after the birth of a still-born son. Keenan seems the ideal man to adopt Danny. Armed Forces regulations, however, forbid him to do so. Faced with an emotionally charged dilemma, what will Keenan sacrifice: a vital career that means more to him than life itself - or his love for an abandoned child?
