In 1974, a young National Geographic photographer named Robert Madden was at Mt. Kilauea in Hawaii when the top of the mountain exploded and he captured the image of a lifetime. Now, more than 30 years later, he'll return to the site of the photo that launched his career, to attain another dramatic shot of an eruption of one of the world's most active volcanoes. With danger lurking from all directions, Madden risks his life to document the power of one of nature's most fascinating wonders.
