Herbert von Karajan conducts the Vienna Philharmonic in this 1987 New Year's Eve Concert Gala. In this feast of the arts, legendary opera singer Kathleen Battle provides stunning vocals to the accompaniment of dancers from Ballet of the Vienna State Opera.
