Set in Rome, 'Nightbus' is a crime story centring on the pursuit of a valuable microchip, which falls into the possession of a female thief and a debt-ridden bus driver. An Italian crime picture that doesn't centre on the Mafia. This is just the first plus point that Davide Marengo's entertaining thriller 'Night Bus' has to offer. Based on the novel 'Notturno Bus' by Giampiero Rigosi, it hinges on a classic Hitchcockian MacGuffin - in this case a microchip worth 4 million euros, stashed behind the photo pocket in a passport.
