- Norman is secretly in love with Anne, the girl who works across the road and he seeks a way to express his love. Fortune beckons, however, when Norman has to go to a bookmaker's and is given some advice on how to place a lucrative accumulator bet. As the horses he picks keep winning, the stakes get higher and higher and Norman's excitement gradually gets the better of him. Frenzied attempts to turn his final tip into a winner ensure a hilarious romp towards the finishing post. When it comes to raising laughs, Norman proves that he's furlongs ahead of the rest!
