All six episodes from the second series of the 1970's sitcom starring Hylda Baker as northern spinster Nellie Pickersill, who inherits a shabby London pub which she decides to run with her father Jed (John Barrett) - despite being a confirmed teetotaller...A childhood friend of Nellies comes into the pub. They agree to date as neither of them are married. When they try to kiss, Will has uncontrollable hiccups. Then Nellie remembered why she jilted him so many years ago...The Brewery is on strike and Nellie and Jed have no money to pay the bank back for their loans. They burn their furniture to keep warm, sell what they can to buy food. When George and Gilbert come in to have a picnic, that is all they can stand, they are starving. Luckily, the boys share the picnic, and the gang come in to say the strike is over...
