O Quatrilho (1995)

In the early 20th century, two Italian couples immigrate to Brazil seeking better lives. The romantic Teresa (Patricia Pillar) is married to the practical Angelo (Alexandre Paternost), while Massimo (Bruno Campos) a refined man, is bound by matrimony to the plain Pierina (Glória Pires). Obviously mismatched with their respective spouses, Teresa and Massimo fall easily in love. The new lovers must suffer the disapproval of their conservative community and fight for survival in this new world.
