Rent Oddball and the Penguins (2015)

A heartfelt and fun-filled adventure, 'Oddball and the Penguins' is based on an amazingly true shaggy-dog story. On an island off the coast of Australia, a colony of endangered fairy penguins are under threat from repeated fox attacks. It takes an eccentric local chicken farmer, Swampy Marsh and his granddaughter, Livvie to save their seaside town and reunite their family by secretly recruiting their rambunctious dog Oddball to guard the penguins and come to the rescue!
