OKA! (2010)

Director Lavinia Currier spins an enthralling tale of one man's devotion to documenting and preserving the unique musical forms and rituals integrated into the everyday lives and culture of the Bayaka Pygmies of Central Africa. Currier presents a fictionalized take on the actual experiences of ethno-musicologist Louis Sarno, who lived with the Bayaka for a quarter century, studying their musical and philosophical traditions.
