Watch Olympic decathlete, Dean Macey, attempt to catch a selection of Britain's finest freshwater fish and beat a few of his personal bests along the way.
Pike Dean Macey joins Nige Williams on the banks of Upton-Upon-Severn in Worcestershire in the hunt for legendary Pike. They head out on the Severn in Nige's boat with Dean using a dead-bait float rig with 25lb braid with a small Roach on one line and a Rudd on the other. But, with Pike in the swim, it is the lure that hooks Dean his fish with a cry of "thank you fishing Gods!"
Crucian Carp It's off to the Marsh Farm Fishery in Surrey where Bill Rushmore hopes to help Dean beat his personal best Crucian Carp - 3lbs 4oz. Bill has more joy initially before bubbles and dipping floats finally yield to a catch for Dean on his 7 metre pole. Throw in a superb Tench to the mix and Dean heads home a happy boy.
