Watch Olympic decathlete, Dean Macey, attempt to catch a selection of Britain's finest freshwater fish and beat a few of his personal bests along the way.
Tench Dean Macey heads to Sywell Reservoir and then Grendon Lake in his attempt to beat his Tench record of 6lb 10oz. Ably helped by expert angler, Bob Church, Dean talks us through his rods and the bait he has selected to try and master 'the doctor fish'. Dean's infectious enthusiasm shines through but will his ground bait do the business?
Chub It's off to the picturesque River Avon in Hampshire by Ibsley Bridge as Dean attempts to lure the elusive Chub. Assisted by Stef Horak, they select the best rods for the job - the Chub Feeder and Barbel Feeder - and with his reels loaded with 6 and 8lb lines, Dean heads off to the bank and a spot known as 'The Aquarium'. However it is not the Chub that greets him but a couple of Bream and then a monster Avon Barbel.
