Documentary about the man once known as Jeffrey Kagel but better known as Krishna Das, his journey of self-discovery and spiritualism and his struggles with drug abuse and depression. Kagel was poised to become a part of the great rock and roll dream in the 1970's, but instead he sold everything he owned and travelled from New York all the way to the foot of the Himalayan mountains. There he sought the legendary Neem Karoli Baba, a spiritual teacher of great renown. Kagel became Krishna Das, a spiritualist in his own right, and an accomplished performer of kirtan, devotional Hindu music and chants. His work continues to be appreciated around the world, and his story is told here by film-maker Jeremy Frindel. - Actors:
