The July 20 plot of 1944 was a failed attempt by members of Germany's High Command to assassinate Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany, and to take power by means of a plan called Operation Walküre. The key role in this drama was played by Wehrmacht Heer officer Claus von Stauffenberg who was in charge of the German Reserve Army's Walküre, a role which allowed him direct access to Hitler. Through reconstructed interviews, taken from the diaries of the key participants, including von Stauffenberg and Adolf Heusinger, along with rare archive footage, this documentary is a fascinating insight into one of the little-known chapters of World War Two.
