- Synopsis:
- Dr. Arthur Calgary (Donald Sutherland) returns to his native England after a long trip abroad, and discovers that a past acquaintance, Jack Argyle, has been found guilty of murder and hanged for the crime. Realising he is in possession of evidence that suggests Jack is innocent, Dr. Calgary decides to launch his own investigation into the murder. But when he visits the Argyle home, he discovers the family has more skeletons than the house has closets! With secret feuds, wild accusations and misplaced passions aplenty, there's no shortage of suspects!
