On video live - the piano genius of the legendary Oscar Peterson. One fine day in 1949, the radio of a taxi taking a quiet passenger to the Montreal airport was tuned to a concert from the Alberta Lounge. Passenger Norman Granz ordered the driver to do a U-turn and race back to the concert hall. Such was the beginning of the partnership between Oscar and the greatest impresario in the history of jazz. First, a perennial mainstay of Jazz at the Philharmonic, the charismatic Oscar Peterson soon enjoyed universal popularity. Joined with massive success by Ray Brown, Barney Kessel, Herb Ellis, Ed Thigpen and other jazz heavyweights, he delighted audiences around the world with his superb trios. Fordy years later in Berlin, here is the 'Master of the Keyboard'.
