Rent Our Century: 1900-1914: A New World (2001)

The landmark historical documentary series commences at the beginning of the twentieth century. Archive footage, newsreel and early cine film captures the key events at the dawn of the new century. New inventions lead to optimism, the achievement of flight transforms travel, but by the end of the programme the world is plunged into the miseries of the First World War.
