Our Lady of the Assasins (2000)

In the drug cartel capital city of Medellin, Colombia, cynical, nihilistic writer Fernando (Germán Jaramillo) is astounded at the level of wanton violence in the city, and hooks up with a young companion who's entwined in the unending cycle of cartel-induced murders. For his part, Fernando is both attracted and repelled by the callous, random killings that involve his young lover in this autobiographical drama.
