- The world's big cats have fascinated man from the beginning of time, emoting both fear and reverence, emotions that have given birth to the myth and magic which in some form or other still exists today. By examining the way the big cats have influenced man's thinking, culture and even history we may have to conclude that we are not as dissimilar from our cave-dwelling ancestors as we would like to think.
