- The monks of Mount St. Bernard Abbey, a community of 25 men, are opening the first Trappist brewery in the UK. For their historic, counter-cultural lifestyle to survive, the venture must succeed. But with more than half of the monks aged over 80 years old, time isn't on their side. As the monks reflect on spirituality, ageing and the end of life, the number of burials in the Abbey graveyard continues to grow...Spending a year with the community as they adapt to brewery life, director Nick Hamer's absorbing documentary captures this unique group of men as they contemplate the meaning of life and death.
