- Looking for work, Sicilian Nicola (Nicola Zarbo) lands a good job at the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg, West Germany. But he finds it difficult to fit into German society and soon faces a life-changing situation that spirals out of control. Werner Schroeter co-wrote and directed this 1980 drama in three parts, each told in a different visual style.
