Synopsis:: Amedeo (Enzo Jannacci) is obsessed by the intention to be received by the Pope but does not have the right knowledge. When he meets Aiché (Claudia Cardinale), a high-class prostitute, he tries to be introduced by her to Roman high society, but all the characters he finds in his way, instead of helping him, try to push him away. Only Aiché remains close to him, but Amedeo does not even reveal to her what he wants to say to the Pope...
