Director Alfred Zeisler's affinity for low-budget thrillers is quite apparent in this fast-paced drama. Although the plot may seem a bit predictable, the film provides more than enough thrills to keep you engrossed till the end. The narrative moves fairly quickly and provides a fascinating insight into the world of organized crime. The plot goes beyond merely entertaining audiences. It creates awareness among both the public and the concerned government agencies about the rampant abuse of parole laws, which saw many a dangerous criminal walk free long before his time was up. Michael O'Shea plays the role of a federal agent with conviction, while Evelyn Ankers - who was at the fag end of a turbulent career - plays the part of an enchanting seductress with the ease and flamboyance of a professional actress.
