Synopsis:
After a plane crash, a young therapist Claire is assigned by her mentor (Andre Braugher) to counsel the flight's five survivors. When they share their recollections of the incident – which some say include an explosion that the airline claims never happened – Claire is intrigued by Eric, the most secretive of the passengers. Just as Claire's professional relationship with Eric – despite her better judgment – blossoms into a romance, the survivors begin to disappear mysteriously, one by one. Claire suspects that Eric may hold all the answers and becomes determined to uncover the truth, no matter the consequences.

Crash and burn - Passengers review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
08/10/2009

Passengers is a bizarre film from Garcia that refuses to gel together into a cohesive experience. The main characters seem detached from one another and Anne Hathaway is never convincing as a talented therapist. Here she is the same in every other role; either hair up or hair down. There isn't much else inbetween. The twist when it comes is all too apparent and forced. Yes, its a small world but Passengers failed to expand into a worthwhile thriller or a social statement.

WEIRD ENDING - Passengers review by GS

Spoiler Alert
23/01/2018

I mistakenly ordered this film, meaning to order the one released in 2016. Not sure what to make of this particular film. Anne Hathaway's character was weak and lacked credibility and the early storyline (which, granted, was a bit formulaic) switched to the supernatural. I think I would have preferred the formulaic version with the airline eventually getting its come-uppance. I didn't quite get my head around the ending and was left fairly unsatisfied.
