- Marie (Demi Moore) is an American widow who lives with her two daughters in the south of France. Marty (Moore again) is a career woman dedicated to making big deals in the Big Apple. When Marie goes to sleep she dreams of being Marty and when Marty goes to sleep she dreams of being Marie. Are they both real,living and breathing people? Or is one just a figment of the other's imagination? If so,which one? Confusion piles upon confusion as Marty and Marie try to make sense of their lives in this unusual drama.
