- Young and beautiful Sally Amonte (Sofia Milos) is still mourning the loss of her husband and has resigned herself to worrying about her beautiful rebellious teenage daughter (Emmy Rossum). That is until Charlie Beck (Jason Isaacs), a handsome British charmer, arrives in town to sweep Sally off her feet. Unfortunately, he neglects to mention that he is a professional gambler. Sally's daughter, Vicky, is aware of Beck's chosen profession and threatens to tell her Mom about it unless he tutors her in the art of card counting. Charlie has tangled himself in a web of lies so badly that he may not be able to untangle himself in time to keep Vicky out of trouble and Sally still in love!
