The vigorous retiree Paulette (Bernadette Lafont) lives alone in a shady Paris suburb despite her advanced age of 80. Her only problem is her narrow pension, which she could get upset about again and again. When one evening a packet of marijuana falls into her hands, she sees her chance - Paulette becomes a hashish dealer. Since she used to work as a confectioner, she has a strong sense of business and can also draw on her great baking skills. She also gets help from her friends, who occasionally stop by for afternoon tea. Their leather jacket-wearing competition in the neighborhood can only dream of such support. The gruff lady soon swings to become the undisputed queen of the cultured drug trade, a fact that soon also makes the powerful backers of local drug supply sensitive. In order to be able to use Paulette's talents for themselves and to put them under pressure, they kidnap their grandson - but they did the calculation without the rabid pensioner...
