Until recently Lampidorra, a small central European country, had a thriving economy based on its primary industry, smuggling. Now times are hard and the country is near bankruptcy. Sound familiar!! A wealthy American offers to buy the country, but dies before he can stump up the cash. After a frantic search for his heir the lucky Lampidorran's find that it is no less than New York shop assistant Lindy Smith (Yolande Donlan)!! With Lindy's fortune stuck in probate she fly's to rescue her people in their hour of need. Having put a stop to the country's smuggling business she needs to raise money to finance Lampidorra and enlists the help of bumbling London cheese salesman Tony Craig (Dirk Bogarde). Together they stumble onto an old traditional Lampidorran recipe for "Schneese" a cross between Schnapps and cheese. Can Lampidorra be saved or will the happy residents have to return to their old smuggling ways? - Actors:
