Rent The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996)

Sometimes this is funny - at other times sad and tragic, but it's the story of Larry Flynt, publisher of "Hustler" and other sex magazines by director Milos Foreman. You may like or dislike his magazines, but as mentioned in the movie you don't have to buy them, and the US Supreme Court agreed in a landmark ruling that satire and ridicule is also protected by the US Constitution. These days this seems quite important also here in Europe where religious groups claim special treatment and "protection" against criticism of their religion and religious figures. Just for this reason - watch it not to forget how important freedom of expression is.
