Born the seventh son of a seventh son in 1912 Pennsylvania, Pierino Roland Como was considered to have a lucky star shining above him, a belief that time would prove correct. His career path was set from an early age although not in the direction he was later to find. For him the brightest light on the High Street was a barbers shop window. But his affair with hair was cut short and in his late teens his talent for singing surfaced when he was offered a spot in the Freddie Carlone Orchestra, touring the Midwest states. His ultimate goal now realised Perry went on to sell over 100 million records worldwide over six decades, with hits such as 'Hey Good Looking' and 'Papa Loves Mambo' both performed here in front of the cameras and presented on this fabulous video compilation. Also featured is a rare opportunity to see the great Bob Hope singing a duet with Perry...played for laughs rather than musical excellence of course!
