- Synopsis:
- An astounding success for ITV1 on its original transmission (and fondly remembered to this day), Please Sir! featured John Anderton as Bernard hedges, a newly-qualified teacher thrown in at the deep end when he is assigned to sort out the unruly class 5C at Fenn Street Secondary Modern School. Ably helped (and sometimes hindered) by his fellow teacher Doris Ewell (Joan Sanderson) and Mr. Price (Doryck Guyler), he has to combat the wiles of school caretaker Norman Potter and the full might of Class 5C!
