- In this animated version of George MacDonald's classic fairy tale, Princess Irene becomes friends with Curdie, a miner's son, when they discover that the goblins who live beneath the mountains plan to flood the mines. Not only that, they want to kidnap Irene and force her to marry Prince Froglip. A combination of magic and practicality is their only hope.
