- Private Practice is an American medical drama series and spin-off of the extremely popular Grey’s Anatomy. Private Practice follows Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) as she travels from Seattle to Los Angeles to work in a prestigious practice with old friends Naomi (Audra MacDonald) and Sam (Taye Diggs), a married couple who have recently divorced. Much like Grey’s, Private Practice follows both the professional and personal aspects of the doctors from extreme pregnancies to stalking, and thats just the doctors. Also starring Amy Brenneman (Judging Amy) and Chris Lowell (Veronica Mars)
