Synopsis:
The Kirov Opera Chorus and Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev, perform Prokofiev's opera in thirteen acts. Set during the Napoleonic wars, it tells the story of Natasha, in love with Prince Andrei Bolkonsky. When she is rejected by Andrei's family, she turns to the roguish Anatol. Anatol's sister, Hélène, encourages the affair. She is married to Pierre who is also secretly in love with Natasha.
